Real Morpho Luna Oval Necklace

★ This beautiful butterfly wing pendant is handmade from a REAL Morpho Luna Butterfly wing! (Please read below for more on how I ethically obtain the wings!) The butterfly wing is expertly embedded under a large 1.2" x 1.6" magnified glass cabochon using my original process and set in a silver finish bezel. The Morpho Luna Butterfly is found in South America. The butterfly's wings are a delicate slightly translucent white and adorned with anywhere from 3 to 6 brown and golden "eyespots."

The pendant is hung on your choice of a silver tone metal chain or an upgrade to a .925 solid Sterling Silver chain. You can also choose your chain length - either an 18" chain that rests on the upper chest or a long 30" chain.

Each piece will arrive in a custom gift bag with literature on the species of butterfly and a free die-cut sticker or magnet!

*NOTE* No Butterflies are harmed in the making of my jewelry! All butterflies are raised on butterfly farms and sanctuaries and allowed to live their full lifespan, which averages about 1 month, and then collected and sold so that their beauty can live on! Butterfly Farming actually helps to preserve rain forests and also assures the survival of natural butterfly habitats. Native people are encouraged to grow plants and raise insects opposed to clearing land for cash crops. I am a member of and donate to the Rainforest Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the Rainforest and the many species that live within it, including the Blue Morpho Butterfly!
