The butterfly wing is set in your choice of an antique silver (as pictured), antique gold, or black gunmetal setting with sparkling clear Swarovski crystals, and hung on a long 30" chain.

The Morpho Menelaus Alexandrovna Butterfly (also known as the “Giant Blue Morpho”) originates from Peru. The wings are a deep iridescent metallic blue in color that changes depending on how the light hits them. The color in the butterfly's wings is caused by the diffraction of the light from millions of tiny scales on its wings. It uses this to frighten away predators, by flashing its wings rapidly.
