The large glass cabochon measures 30mmx40mm and is set in your choice of an antique silver (as pictured) antique gold, yellow gold, or black finish. The Morpho Alexandrovna Butterfly (also known as the "Blue Morpho") is a morpho species found in the amazon rainforest in countries such as Peru & Brazil. The wings are an intense iridescent metallic blue in color that changes depending on how the light hits them. The color in the butterfly's wings is caused by the diffraction of the light from millions of tiny scales on its wings. It uses this to frighten away predators, by flashing its wings rapidly.
